I never know when it is my turn to speak. It’s worse on the telephone, when I talk over the other person all the time or leave long, awkward silences (hence my hatred of phones).
On video calls, I’m a lurker, unsure of how to break into the conversation (and don’t get me started on the fresh hell that is the breakout room).
I’m a bit better in real life, although only really with people I know well. But give me a stage and a microphone and then I know when it’s my turn to speak – all the time!
